The costs of any or all Mpesa withdrawal with the giant mobile operator safaricom has been shown in the table below.
These are the new MPESA fees for 2022. There is no longer the need to go deeper into your wallet in order to withdraw cash from an agent or any other outlet mandated to do so thanks to reduced rates by Safaricom.
It is crucial to remember that the fees associated with MPesa withdrawals are subject to revision at any time. Verify the transaction rates on the list that is shown in the agent’s shop.
- Any withdrawal made under Ksh. 50 is free of charge.
- Withdrawals between 50 and 100 Kenyan shillings will attract a ksh 10 charge on your account.
- Kshs. 27 for any withdrawals between Kshs. 101 and Kshs. 500. If you withdraw any amount between Kshs. 501 and Kshs. 2500, Kshs. 28 will be taken out of your account.
- Mpesa withdrawal charges increase gradually as more money is withdrawn.

Can one check Mpesa withdrawal charges on their mobile device?
The answer is yes.
Use USSD code *234#. Follow the prompts to get information about any withdrawal rates. To find out the charges for a specific amount, do these:
- Choose My MPesa data from among the options
- Select the Tariff Query option from the list
- and then follow the on-screen instructions
The amount you intend to withdraw will determine how much MPESA will charge you. You may purchase airtime for your phone or for someone else via the MPESA menu. You simply need to pay for the airtime you buy and the service is free.
NOTE THIS:
- Maximum Account Balance allowed is Ksh 300,000.
- The maximum Daily Transaction amount is Ksh 300,000. Maximum amount for any transaction is Ksh 150,000 at any given time.
- Ksh 50 is the lowest amount anyone is allowed to withdraw from an Mpesa agent.
- To initiate M-PESA person to person self reversal, send the transaction confirmation message to 456
- To carry out any Mpesa withdrawal, your Safaricom line and MPESA account must be active.
- Customers can not make deposits on behalf of other customers.
- To register or transact at any M-PESA Agent outlet, you will be required to produce your original identification document, i.e., National ID or Kenyan Passport.
