MPESA users can withdraw cash nationwide using an automated teller machine (ATM). Using an ATM provides its benefits, including 24-hour operation and a nationwide network of ATMs. You also don’t need to be a KCB customer to use this function; start the transaction on your phone and have your money in no time.

Withdrawing money from an ATM is the same as withdrawing money from an MPESA agent. The critical difference is that you’ll need to make several choices at the ATM to confirm the transaction.
How to use a KCB bank ATM to withdraw money from MPESA
- Choose Withdraw Cash from your MPESA menu.
- Proceed to ATM selection.
- Then type in the KCB agent number, which is 555555.
- Use your MPESA PIN to double-check.
- A six-digit code that will serve as a password should be sent to you through text message.
On an ATM
- Proceed to the ATM and select MPESA withdrawal.
- Enter the information as directed, using the six digits as the password. Note that the password will expire in 10 minutes, so only begin this step when you are close to the ATM.
